XR glasses not detected or no signal on Windows

Applies to XREAL, VITURE, RayNeo, Rokid and similar glasses on Windows 10/11.

Display glasses need video over USB-C. "No signal" almost always comes down to the port, the cable or a Windows setting.

  1. Use the glasses' own cable. Many USB-C cables carry only charging or USB 2.0 data.
  2. Try another port. Look for a DisplayPort or Thunderbolt symbol. See ports and adapters.
  3. Press Win+P and choose Extend or Duplicate.
  4. Settings › System › Display › Detect.
  5. Update GPU drivers.
  6. Plug in the charger; some laptops limit USB-C power on battery.
  7. Screen-off toggle: some glasses have a display on/off button (e.g. XREAL documents a double-click of the mode button on the Air 2 Pro).

Complete VR Studio can't create a video signal; Windows must see the glasses first.
