Keeping older XR glasses useful on a PC
Makers move their software forward each generation, and older models can stop getting features or companion-app support. The core function, being a USB-C monitor, doesn't depend on that software.
What keeps working
- Plain monitor mode on any PC with a DP Alt Mode port.
- Built-in buttons: brightness, and 2D/3D on models that have it.
What you may lose
- Vendor head-tracking or virtual-screen apps that require newer models.
- Firmware updates.
Options
- Third-party PC software that treats glasses as a display (see software comparison).
- Complete VR Studio is designed to bring per-eye tuning to older models through manual profiles. Only RayNeo Air 3 is validated, so tell Jacob your model when you request the installer.

Trial, price and how to get it
Complete VR Studio is a Windows 10 (version 19041 or newer) and Windows 11 x64 app, currently at version 1.0.0-preview.10. Premium features are included in a 7-day trial from install, and basic viewing keeps working until day 90. Activation costs about $5 in Bitcoin during the trial, or about $25 after it, paid in Bitcoin only. It's built security-first. See trial & pricing and compatibility for details.
FAQ
