Double vision: when the two eye images don't line up
Your brain fuses small horizontal differences easily, but it's very sensitive to vertical offset and rotation between eyes.
Diagnose
- Show a thin horizontal line. One above the other = vertical offset.
- Lines crossing in an X = one eye rotated (see tilted image).
- Side-by-side doubling = convergence/IPD (see IPD basics).
Fix
- Seat the glasses level on your nose.
- Be in 2D mode for 2D content.
- Use per-eye alignment and perspective in Complete VR Studio to nudge or rotate one eye until the line is single.
- Turn off any depth effect while aligning.
Trial, price and how to get it
Complete VR Studio is a Windows 10 (version 19041 or newer) and Windows 11 x64 app, currently at version 1.0.0-preview.10. Premium features are included in a 7-day trial from install, and basic viewing keeps working until day 90. Activation costs about $5 in Bitcoin during the trial, or about $25 after it, paid in Bitcoin only. It's built security-first. See trial & pricing and compatibility for details.
FAQ
Why only in 3D movies?
The content's depth may exceed your comfort, or the eyes aren't aligned; align in 2D first.
Can software fix double vision?
It can correct misaligned images, not a vision condition.
